Jay at IBC, our IT expert and managed service provider, warned us about the Trojan.CryptoLocker virus, but it entered our network through a normal-looking email attachment. Our spam filter initially caught the email, but, because the infected message was so well-designed, one of our employees thought it was an important business-related message and checked “Not Junk,” which released it from the spam filter. Fortunately for us, IBC had installed a new backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solution on our network. Along with the hard-drive dock and firewall that IBC had installed last year, we can perform an on-the-spot roundtrip snapshot at any time and send it in.
